Ispeech is professional#
Professional members must have been engaged in practice for at least three years preceding the appointment. The Board consists of seven DC residents, including a chair: two audiologists, two speech-language pathologists, one otolaryngologist, and two consumer members. The Board is appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the council. The Board also evaluates applicants' qualifications, administers exams, recommends standards and procedures, issues licenses receives and reviews complaints requests investigations, conduct hearings, and issues subpoenas. The Board advises the Mayor and administers and enforces the law. The DC Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology regulates the practice of audiology and speech-language pathology. Please check each board's website for information on when the next meeting will occur. In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all Health Professional Board meetings are currently held virtually.
